A devastating accident on the Gorakhpur-Varanasi Expressway has claimed the lives of four individuals, leaving one more injured. The tragic incident, reported by the local police, highlights the perils faced on the roadways.

Station Officer Birnon Balendra Kumar confirmed that the accident occurred late on Thursday night near Prithvipur village. The collision involved a car and a stationary truck, resulting in the untimely demise of Dr. Soni Yadav, Gayatri Devi, Deepak Jha, and driver Mohammad Salauddin, all from Purnia, Bihar.

Survivor Vipin, aged 28, is currently receiving treatment at the Medical College in Ghazipur. The group was returning from Prayagraj after participating in the Kumbh bath. Authorities were swift in their response, sending the deceased's bodies for post-mortem examinations.
