The attack occurred near the Eastern Roundabout, closely located to the Golden Mazzeh Hotel, a luxurious spot in central Damascus. Syrian state media stated that the strike was attributed to Israeli forces.
Israel has confirmed its involvement in the targeted attack. An Israeli military spokesperson noted the mission's objective was to eliminate the head of Hezbollah's money transfers unit. Israel expressed its intent to continue operations against Hezbollah both in Syria and beyond, reinforcing its strategic stance in the region.
