Group F will feature reigning World Cup and Confederation Cup champions Germany. Along with Germany, Sweden, Mexico, and South Korea will also feature in the group. Defending champion Germany has all the qualities to defend their title, with the number of world class players Germany has in its team. According to the football experts, Group F is the group of death, where all teams have the ability to reach the round of 16.
Germany has top-class players in every department, be it in defense, midfield or attack. German coach Joachim Low had to take a tough decision to drop the Manchester City star Leroy Sane from traveling to Russia.
On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund’s injury prone star Marco Reus will be participating in the world cup for the first time. He missed major tournaments due to injuries, but in this worlds cup, he is fit and ready to play in Russia.
Reus has missed his trip to Brazil in 2014 and Euro 2016 due to injury. While recovering from his injury Reus said, "People say: 'Yeah but he earns so much money anyway'. But I’d give away everything I have earned just to be healthy again and to do my job, to do what I love: playing football.”

If Germany is the mighty team in the group then Mexico is the force that can stop any team, even mighty Germany. Mexico has the experience of veteran Rafael Marquez, who will guide the team. But It will be young Hirving Lozano, who will be an important player in the squad. He will provide a room to breathe for marked man Javier Hernandez in the attack. Lozano had a great season with Dutch club PSV Eindhoven scoring 17 goals from 29 games. With such an impressive record Mexico will be expecting goals from Lozano in Russia.
Sweden did not qualify in the last edition of the world cup, they lost to Portugal in a close encounter in playoffs. But this time Sweden defeated four-time world cup winner Italy in the play-off to earn their right to play in the world cup. Sweden has already shown that they can upset any team in the world. Under the coach Janne Anderson with 4-4-2 formation, the team performed really well. Mainly, midfielder Emil Forsberg, known as “Anti-Zlatan” played an important role in the formation and will be the key player in Sweden’s campaign in Russia. He has the ability to create and score goals while dominating the midfield with an ease.
South Korea will represent Asia in the Group F against the top European countries. South Korea has both the mixture of young and experienced players in the team. Their forward line up has pace and skillful players who can break any defense. Under the coach, Shin Tae-Yong with 4-2-3-1 formation team showed great results, while keeping striker Son Heung-min as the center of his strategies. Striker Son Heung-min, who scored against some top English Premier League goalkeepers 2017-18 season will be their main man. He carries South Korea’s hope of going to the round of 16 in Russia.
