Congress on Sunday announced candidates for five Lok Sabha seats in Haryana and with this announcement of the new list, the party has declared its candidates in all ten seats of Haryana. While former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will be contesting election from Sonipat, Congress has fielded Avtar Singh Bhadana in Faridabad instead of Lalit Nagar as declared earlier. The party has given tickets to former State Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Sharma from Karnal and Bhavya Bishnoi will be contesting from Hisar. Earlier, the party has declared its candidates from Ambala (Kumari Selja), Rohtak (Deepender Hooda), Sirsa (Ashok Tanwar), and Bhiwani-Mahendergarh seat (Shruti Choudhary).

Seeing that the party has fielded all heavyweight leaders from Haryana in the election and the people in the State seems disenchanted from BJP rule, Congress seems to win all ten seats in the State, as claimed by Congress State Chief Ashok Tanwar a few days back.

While addressing the conference called by Congress leader Devendra Babli in the Shriram Bhawan campus a few days back, Tanwar said that BJP's tents have been broken and the BJP will be completely washed out in the Lok Sabha elections.

Ashok Tanwar is considered close to Rahul Gandhi and has been MP from Sirsa in 2009. He has been relentlessly working for the Congress on the ground and garnered adoration of people in his own constituency as well across the State. In September last year, he organized a statewide cycle tour for mass mobilization and profoundly garnered the support of people in Haryana. Tanwar has been attacking BJP for snatching employment from people, dividing the nation by politics of caste and religion and crime against women.
