The Vivo X30 series powered by Exynos 980 SoC, Samsung's first AI mobile processor with an integrated 5G modem was announced in China today. Under the series, the Chinese phone maker unveiled Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro 5G smartphones with a punch-hole display, 4,350mAh battery with fast charging support and powerful photography capabilities.

Available in Black, White, and Pink color options, the Vivo X30 carries a price tag of CNY 3,298 (approx. INR 33,400) for the 8GB+128GB model and CNY 3,598 (approx. INR 36,400) for the 8GB+256GB storage variant. The 128GB model is currently available for pre-order via Vivo E-stores and will go on sale on December 28 with free W7 headphones on pre-orders.

The Vivo X30 Pro is priced at CNY 3,998 (approx. INR 40,500) for the 8GB+128GB base model and CNY 4,298 (approx. INR 43,500) for the 8GB+256GB storage variant. The X30 Pro will go on sale on December 24 with free W7 headphones on pre-orders.

Specifications

Both the Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro sport a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080-pixels resolution and 2.98mm ultra-small hole design. The X30 series is powered by Samsung Exynos 980 chipset that delivers blazingly fast downlink speed of up to 2.55Gbps in sub-6GHz and up to 3.55Gbps with 4G and 5G dual connectivity.

Based on advanced 8nm FinFET process technology, the Samsung Exynos 980 comes with a powerful octa-core CPU that integrates two of the latest high-performance Cortex-A77 CPU cores and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores.

The X30 series also features Multi-Turbo 2.5 that allows common applications to open faster, and smoothly switches from 4G to 5G networks, when Wi-Fi quality is poor. Both the phones run on Funtouch OS 10 based on Android 9.0 and pack a 4350mAh battery with 33W Flash Charge support.

The X30 series also adopts a new generation of zero-inductive water-cooling heat dissipation technology to offer an uninterrupted performance. With a liquid-cooled thermal architecture, the heat dissipation capacity is twice that of the previous generation.

As for the cameras, the Vivo X30 features a triple rear camera setup that incorporates a 64-megapixel primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 112-degrees field-of-view and a 32-megapixel professional portrait lens with f/2.0 aperture and 50mm focal length. The Vivo X30 Pro, on the other hand, is equipped with a quad rear camera module that includes an additional 13-megapixel periscope lens with f/3.0 aperture.

Additional rear camera features include Super night scene 2.0, Super Moon Mode, Backlight-Hyper HDR,  slow motion, time-lapse photography, 4K video shooting and more. Both the phones sport a 32-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.45 aperture.

For authentication, the X30 series comes with Face Unlock feature and an in-screen fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device in only 0.29 seconds. Connectivity feature includes Dual SIM Dual Standby, 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11ac, OTG, NFC, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
