Samsung Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A50s: Price, availability and specs comparison

Samsung Electronics on Thursday unveiled its mid-range smartphones Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s, the upgraded versions of A50 and A30, launched back in February 2019, with a new contemporary look, improved innovations, and long-lasting battery capabilities.

The new Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s feature triple rear-facing camera array with Smart camera tools, including Intelligent Flaw Detector and Scene Optimize, an on-screen fingerprint scanner, AI-based Game Booster for long-lasting and uninterrupted game playing, a powerful 4,000mAh battery and Bixby, a smart digital assistant from Samsung.

With striking new designs, including a unique geometric pattern and futuristic holographic effect on the back, the Samsung Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s deliver the best possible mobile experience. The new smartphones will also offer a full range of services including Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, Knox and more, to its users. Display

The Samsung Galaxy A30s sports a 6.4-inch HD+ (720×1560-pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-V display. The Galaxy A50s boasts a 6.4-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2340-pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display for a more immersive viewing experience. As already mentioned, both the smartphones feature an on-screen fingerprint scanner, making it easy for the users to secure their phone content.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A30s houses a triple rear camera setup that includes-  a 25-megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel Ultra-Wide camera, and a 5-megapixel depth camera with Live Focus for more dynamic shots. The phone has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Samsung Galaxy A50s features a 48-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture, an 8-megapixel Ultra-Wide camera with a 123° viewing angle for uninterrupted landscape shots and wider panoramas and a 5-megapixel depth camera. On the front, it houses a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Processor and OS

On the processor front, the Samsung Galaxy A30s is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7904 (Dual 1.8GHz + Hexa 1.6Hz) 14nm processor coupled with Mali-G71 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy A50s is powered by an Octa-core Exynos 9610 (Quad 2.3GHz + Quad 1.7GHz) 10nm processor coupled with Mali-G72 GPU for high performance and low power consumption. Both the Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s run on Android 9.0 (Pie).

Battery

Both the Samsung Galaxy A30s and the Galaxy A50s are equipped with a long-lasting 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging capability.

Price, color, and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A30s will be available with 3GB | 4GB RAM and 32GB | 64GB |128GB internal storage options. The phone also has a dedicated microSD slot for storage expansion up to 512GB.

The Samsung Galaxy A50s will be available with 4GB | 6GB RAM and two storage options 64GB | 128GB. Like A30s, the Galaxy A50s also has dedicated microSD slot for storage expansion up to 512GB.

Samsung has not yet specified the pricing and availability details about both the Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s. Both the phones will be available in four color variants: Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Green, and Prism Crush Violet.
