On Tuesday, X Square Robot unveiled Wall-B, a new embodied AI model designed for real-world household applications, representing a significant advancement in home robotics. The launch event, themed 'Born to Bot, Bot to Family,' also presented the World Unified Model (WUM), an architecture integrating vision, language, action, and prediction from the beginning.

According to Qian Wang, founder and CEO of X Square Robot, robots face notably different challenges in homes versus factories, needing to execute a vast array of actions in varied contexts. The Wall-B is X Square's first full implementation of its WUM, designed to predict physical outcomes dynamically, enhancing home robot adaptability and effectiveness.

The WUM architecture aims to teach robots in a consolidated manner, akin to human learning. The model encompasses real home data and a physics-aware predictive mechanism, aimed at bridging the gap between controlled demonstrations and real-world performance. Despite being in the early stages, the technology shows significant potential, with X Square planning real household deployments within 35 days to further hone its capabilities.
