Russia's Nuclear Offer for Musk's Mars Mission
Russia proposes supplying a small nuclear power plant for Elon Musk's Mars mission. This offer follows the U.S.'s attempt to revive ties with Moscow. Despite U.S. sanctions over Ukraine, Russia seeks economic collaboration and views cooperation with Musk, a notable visionary, as crucial for Mars exploration.

Russia has proposed the supply of a small nuclear power plant for a Mars mission planned by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, according to President Vladimir Putin's international cooperation envoy.
Kirill Dmitriev, speaking in Murmansk during an Arctic Forum event, expressed Moscow's interest in discussing the offer with Musk via video conference. This comes amid efforts by the U.S. to rekindle diplomatic relations with Russia, which have been strained due to the Ukrainian conflict.
Musk, undeterred by previous failed tests, aims to launch his Starship rocket to Mars by next year. Russia views itself as a significant contributor to the mission, with Dmitriev emphasizing the country's advanced nuclear technology capabilities. Meanwhile, Russia remains committed to its own Mars mission, following the suspension of its collaboration with the European Space Agency.
