The Ahmedabad centre marks Infineon's fifth location in India, complementing the existing operations in Bengaluru. It aims to employ 500 skilled engineers and professionals over five years, focusing on advanced R&D for semiconductor chip design, product software, and various IT domains.
Infineon CEO Jochen Hanebeck and Vinay Shenoy, Managing Director of Infineon India, highlighted the strategic importance of expanding their presence in India. By targeting significant market growth and technological advancements, Infineon pledges to invest in local talent and contribute to India's innovation ecosystem extensively.
