GURGAON – A recent study by Capterra has unveiled crucial trends that could impact recruiters, HR professionals, and talent acquisition teams across India's Small and Medium Business sector. Central to the findings is the nuanced relationship between AI-driven recruitment processes and job seekers who increasingly express concerns about over-automation.

The report shows that 87% of job seekers approve of AI's role in sourcing and ranking candidates, yet 65% would decline positions if applications become excessively automated. Comfort levels were highest with AI ensuring equal opportunities (47%), skills assessment (49%), and candidate evaluation (50%).

Job seekers are also utilizing AI technologies, with 51% admitting use in their job search. Notably, 96% of those acknowledged enhancing or exaggerating qualifications. David Jani, the study's analyst, calls for a balanced approach, merging AI advantages with the human elements of recruitment to mitigate friction.
