In a striking display of technological prowess, China has rolled out robotic dogs and autonomous patrol vehicles in Beijing's tech district, underscoring significant advancements in Artificial Intelligence.

The Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA) has taken a bold step in enhancing public security by introducing unmanned vehicles and robotic patrol dogs, a move announced in a recent press release.

Onlookers at Boda Park, located in southeastern Beijing, were captivated by a pair of robotic dogs bearing the words 'Patrol, Publicity, and Prevention' alongside a fleet of smart patrol vehicles.

The BDA's newly launched intelligent patrol system comprises 18 autonomous vehicles with Level-4 autonomy, 15 manned patrol cars, and two industrial-grade robotic dogs, signifying a leap towards smart city development.

Despite being in the early testing stages, these innovations indicate Beijing's proactive approach to integrating intelligent robots into city infrastructure, as noted by Chen Jing, vice president of the Technology and Strategy Research Institute, in a statement to the Global Times.
