Kremlin's Caution: Don't View U.S. Actions with Rose-Tinted Glasses
The Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, urged Russians to remain cautious about U.S. actions concerning Ukraine, especially regarding Elon Musk's Starlink and military aid suspensions. He emphasized hoping for the best while preparing for the worst, as U.S. officials engage with Ukraine on potential concessions to end the conflict.

The Kremlin issued a warning Tuesday urging Russians to maintain a realistic view of U.S. policies related to Ukraine, cautioning against overly optimistic interpretations. Speaking at Moscow's Higher School of Economics, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov advised against excitement over Elon Musk potentially halting Starlink services to Ukraine or the recent halt of U.S. military aid to Kyiv.
Peskov emphasized, 'Don't rush to put on rose-tinted spectacles.' He advised the audience to hope for the best but stay prepared for the worst, highlighting the need for Russia to be ready to defend its interests. This statement came as U.S. officials were set to discuss possible concessions with Ukrainian delegates in Saudi Arabia.
Peskov maintained that Russia is achieving its objectives in the Ukraine conflict despite U.S. interventions. He noted that Ukraine's weapon stockpile remains substantial, allowing it to continue its military efforts despite the U.S. aid suspension. This underscores the continuing tension in the regional conflict.
