At the conclusion of Aero India 2025, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) revealed a new collaboration with the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad. The Memorandum of Understanding aims to strengthen industry-academia ties in advanced technology applications critical to aerospace and defense.

This strategic partnership will encompass joint research projects, internships, and educational initiatives focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Robotics, AR/VR, and Digital Manufacturing. Such cooperation is geared towards enhancing India's technological prowess in aerospace and defense sectors, HAL announced on Friday.

In a statement, IIIT Dharwad Director Prof. S R Mahadeva Prasanna highlighted the potential for innovation and knowledge-sharing from this initiative. The MoU was signed by key HAL executives, marking a pivotal step for upskilling and technological advancement within the industry.
