Collins Aerospace and HAL Partner for New MRO Facility in Lucknow

In a strategic move to enhance India's aerospace capabilities, Collins Aerospace has partnered with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to set up a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at HAL's accessories complex in Lucknow.
This state-of-the-art facility is slated to offer comprehensive support for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk-1 fleet of the Indian Air Force. Announced in an official statement, the collaboration between Collins Aerospace, a business owned by RTX, and HAL marks a significant milestone in bolstering local defence manufacturing and support, helping to reduce repair turn-around times and costs.
Ryan Hudson, Vice President of Aftermarket, Power & Controls at Collins Aerospace, stated the new facility reinforces their long-term commitment to India's defence needs. Additionally, D K Sunil, Chairman and Managing Director of HAL, hailed the development as an enabler of better customer support and preparation for future aerospace requirements.
