Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has announced plans to commence delivery of the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft to the Indian Air Force, addressing recent technical challenges that have delayed the process.
HAL Chairman and Managing Director D K Sunil explained the delay was not due to industry negligence but rather technical issues, which have now been resolved. His comments were made during the Aero India 2025 event, responding to concerns expressed by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh about delivery delays.
Sunil assured that all necessary structures are now in place, with multiple meetings held to coordinate efforts. Once engine availability is confirmed, production and delivery to the Air Force will proceed as planned.
