In a significant effort to bridge the digital divide in India, the Indian Army, in partnership with telecom providers, has successfully brought 4G connectivity to remote areas in Ladakh, including Kargil and Siachen.

Through a series of dedicated initiatives over the past five months, 42 Airtel 4G mobile towers have been established, overcoming harsh conditions to provide much-needed connectivity for both local residents and soldiers stationed in the area.

This development is expected to boost tourism, enhance access to online education and healthcare, and foster economic growth through government initiatives, propelling the region towards integrated development in line with the national vision of #ViksitBharat by 2047.
