Government Websites Restored After NICSI Data Centre Outage

A disruption affected several government websites, including those of the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce Ministry, and Department of Telecom, after a power outage at a National Informatics Centre Services Inc (NICSI) data centre.

The interruption was attributed to a power failure at NICSI's Shastri Park data centre. Sources confirmed the issue, stating the websites would be restored shortly.

NICSI is responsible for hosting and managing a majority of government websites. Following the incident, random checks noted that the websites were functional again. The Ministry of Electronics and IT did not immediately respond to email inquiries regarding the issue.
