Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, commonly known as GIFT City in Gandhinagar, is set to redefine the fintech landscape with its latest announcement: the launch of the GIFT International Fintech Institute and the GIFT International Fintech Innovation Hub.
The initiative, supported by the Asian Development Bank, promises to elevate GIFT City's status as a global financial technology epicenter by attracting top talent and industry attention. The GIFT International Fintech Institute is a collaborative effort, led by Ahmedabad University, IIT Gandhinagar, and the University of California, San Diego. Scheduled to commence in January 2025, its training programs focus on equipping professionals with essential industry skills.
Meanwhile, the GIFT International Fintech Innovation Hub, guided by global accelerator Plug and Play, seeks to empower startups with crucial resources, expert guidance, and valuable networking opportunities. Furthermore, the program emphasizes support for women entrepreneurs and propels applied research to bridge gaps between academia and industry.
