Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Sh Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, unveiled BSNL's new logo along with seven innovative citizen-centric services that aim to enhance secure, affordable, and reliable connectivity across India. The launch took place at Bharat Sanchar Bhavan, with the event graced by Hon. MoS for Communications & Rural Development, Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, and other prominent officials.

These new initiatives mark BSNL’s commitment to technological leadership and its mission to bridge India’s digital divide with cutting-edge solutions.

BSNL’s New Logo: A Symbol of Trust and National Reach

The new BSNL logo represents strength, trust, and accessibility. It features green and white arrows symbolizing nationwide connectivity, while the vibrant orange backdrop highlights warmth and inclusivity. BSNL’s bold tagline "Connecting Bharat" underscores its focus on providing seamless telecom services to both urban and rural areas.

BSNL at the Forefront of Technological Innovations

Minister Scindia emphasized BSNL’s role in spearheading technological advancements, particularly highlighting the company's ongoing 5G trials in both the 3.6 GHz and 700 MHz bands. By mid-2025, many of BSNL’s planned 100,000 4G sites will be upgraded to 5G connectivity, advancing India's indigenous 5G vision.

He praised BSNL’s transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, evolving from a follower to a leader in the telecom sector. This transformation is further demonstrated by the launch of the seven new citizen-centric services.

Seven New Initiatives for Secure, Affordable, and Reliable Connectivity

Spam-Free Network: This new spam-blocking solution enhances user safety by automatically filtering out malicious SMS and phishing attempts without interrupting user experience.

BSNL National Wi-Fi Roaming: A seamless Wi-Fi roaming service for BSNL FTTH customers, enabling free access to high-speed internet at BSNL hotspots, reducing data costs.

BSNL IFTV: India's first fibre-based intranet TV service offers over 500 live channels through BSNL's FTTH network, with no additional charges or data consumption for FTTH subscribers.

Any Time SIM (ATS) Kiosks: Automated kiosks for purchasing, upgrading, or replacing SIM cards 24/7, using UPI/QR payments and seamless KYC integration.

Direct-to-Device (D2D) Service: India’s first D2D connectivity solution integrates satellite and terrestrial networks, providing reliable connectivity in emergencies and remote areas.

Public Protection & Disaster Relief: A secure, encrypted network ensuring uninterrupted communication for government agencies during disasters, using drones and balloon-based systems for extended coverage.

Private 5G in Mines: BSNL’s 5G services for mining operations, enabling AI and IoT applications in underground and large opencast mines for enhanced safety and remote operations.

These initiatives reflect BSNL’s commitment to transforming India's telecom landscape, offering cutting-edge solutions tailored to the needs of the nation.
