Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has committed to transforming the state into a leading drone hub, as announced at a national drone summit in Mangalagiri, Guntur district.
Highlighting its potential, Naidu urged drone players to utilize Andhra Pradesh as a testing site for various drone applications. He emphasized adopting 150 use cases, promising government support and urging cost-effectiveness in the offerings from drone companies.
The summit witnessed agreements with the Quality Council of India for certifying drone startups and between IIT-Tirupati and Technology Innovative Hub for collaboration. The initiative intends to hand out 20,000 drone pilot certificates and boost indigenization in manufacturing.
