Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is spearheading efforts to crown the state as the drone capital of India, officials announced Monday. The state will host a two-day drone summit in Mangalagiri, Guntur district, aiming to align with Naidu's ambitious vision.

The event, expected to draw over 7,000 participants, will see participation from senior officials, industry experts, and government ministers, including Union Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu. With registrations closed due to high demand, the summit will feature a variety of exhibitions and discussions to propel drone technology use in multiple sectors.

The Andhra Pradesh Drone Corporation plans a spectacle involving 5,500 drones in Vijayawada. Additionally, agreements with the Quality Council of India and IIT Tirupati will be signed, underscoring the state's commitment to leveraging drones for development rather than warfare, with a focus on agricultural applications.
