Social Media Giant X Resurfaces in Brazil After Supreme Court Approval
Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, resumed service for some Brazilian users after Brazil's Supreme Court allowed it to continue operations. Telecommunications regulator Anatel instructed internet providers to restore access, as issues with past non-compliance were resolved. The platform remains widely used in Brazil, a key market.
Social media platform X, known previously as Twitter, has made a comeback in Brazil, gaining partial access one day after the Supreme Court permitted its reinstatement due to compliance with judicial directives.
Brazil's telecommunications authority, Anatel, announced the commencement of orders to internet providers for restoring access to X. Some users have already regained access, making 'we're back' a trending topic in the country.
While some Brazilians continue to face access issues, the timeline for full availability depends on each provider's procedures. Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ended a prolonged clash with Elon Musk, clearing X to operate again on Tuesday after meeting court demands.
