HAL Delivers First AL-31FP Aero Engine to Indian Air Force

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has handed over the first AL-31FP Aero Engine, manufactured as part of a 240-engine contract, to the Indian Air Force at Koraput, Odisha.
Signed on September 9, the contract aims to deliver these engines over eight years, as stated by HAL, which is headquartered in Bengaluru.
Defense Production Secretary Sanjeev Kumar praised HAL's swift delivery and its technical capabilities. HAL CMD D K Sunil highlighted plans to increase the share of Indian industry in the manufacturing process to over 50% in the next two to three years, boosting employment prospects.
