Air India has successfully established a holistic data infrastructure devoid of data silos, bestowing it with a significant competitive edge, according to a senior official on Monday. The airline is poised to become an AI-driven entity.

The Tata Group acquired the loss-making Air India from the government in January 2022, initiating a comprehensive transformation journey. Airlines AIX Connect and Vistara are set to merge with Air India.

Air India's Chief Digital & Technology Officer Satya Ramaswamy highlighted that Vistara is contributing significantly to the new unified entity. The integration process, mapping around 140 systems, is progressing seamlessly. Vistara's merger is expected in November, with notable digital upgrades for customers and employees.
