Microsoft Corporation (India) has made a significant land purchase, acquiring around 16 acres in Pune from Viva Highways for Rs 453 crore, according to property consultant Square Yards.

The transaction, registered in September 2024, incurred a stamp duty of Rs 27.18 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000, bringing the total cost to Rs 453 crore. This acquisition is part of Microsoft's broader strategy to expand its data center operations in India.

Recent land deals by Microsoft include 16.4 acres in Pune's Hinjewadi, 25 acres in Pimpri-Chinchwad, and 48 acres in Hyderabad, showcasing the tech giant's growing footprint across the country.
