India successfully test-fired the Vertical Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile (VLSRSAM) for the second time in two days from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur, Odisha, according to defence sources.

A statement from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) confirmed that both tests on September 12 and 13 were successful. The missile successfully intercepted low-altitude aerial targets mimicking sea skimming scenarios in both tests.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised DRDO, the Indian Navy, and all associated teams for the successful tests, stating that the missile, equipped with modern technologies, would boost the Armed Forces' technological capabilities.
