Apple has introduced a suite of new features for iCloud Mail as part of the iOS 18 update, which aims to improve email management and enhance overall user experience. According to MacRumors, the iOS 18 update encompasses more than 250 new features.

Noteworthy updates include advanced tools that streamline email organization and maintenance. Users will be able to access these functionalities via the Mail app, iCloud.com, and iCloud Mail settings, according to MacRumors.

One significant enhancement is the inclusion of new cleanup tools designed to help users manage their email storage efficiently. These tools will allow users to implement time-based rules to automatically delete or archive emails.

Promotional emails that remain unread for over a year can now be purged or archived, ensuring inboxes are kept free from clutter. This feature will use Mail categories, expected to be available in a future update of iOS 18.

Additionally, a bulk unsubscribe function will enable users to unsubscribe from multiple senders simultaneously, with future emails from these sources directed to Trash. This aims to minimize unwanted emails and maintain a more organized inbox.

While iOS 18 is scheduled for release on Monday, September 16, these specific iCloud Mail functionalities might be introduced in a subsequent update.

Users keen to utilize these new features will need to wait for the final rollout of the iCloud Mail updates. (ANI)
