Apple on Monday unveiled its artificial intelligence-boosted iPhone 16, showcasing the highly anticipated device shortly after Chinese competitor Huawei's tri-fold phone began garnering significant orders. 'The next generation of iPhone has been designed for Apple Intelligence from the ground up. It marks the beginning of an exciting new era,' stated Chief Executive Tim Cook during the product launch.

The iPhone 16, equipped with the new A18 chip and featuring an aluminum back along with a customizable button for camera controls, aims to solidify Apple's market position despite Huawei's increasing prominence. On Huawei's website, it was reported that more than 3 million pre-orders had been secured for its innovative Z-shaped tri-fold phone, highlighting its ability to navigate U.S. sanctions.

During the event, Apple also introduced the new Series 10 Watch starting at $399, and the more rugged Watch Ultra 2 at $799. Additionally, the company revealed AirPods 4 with improved acoustics and a new design. These product reveals come as Apple aims to maintain its competitive edge in the AI-driven marketplace, with features expected to roll out starting this October.
