Bengaluru-based electric bike maker Oben Electric plans to introduce four new e-two-wheeler models within the next six months to address diverse customer needs. Prices will range from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,50,000. The strategic move aims to penetrate over two-thirds of the electric motorcycle market that remains untapped and enhance accessibility to electric mobility.

Oben Electric, a Bengaluru-based electric bike manufacturer, is set to unveil four new e-two-wheeler models in the upcoming six months, targeting diverse customer segments. The new models will be priced between Rs 60,000 and Rs 1,50,000, the company announced on Monday.

This initiative aims to provide affordable yet high-performance electric vehicle (EV) solutions that cater to various consumer preferences, effectively tapping into an untapped 70 percent of the electric motorcycle market. Oben Electric's founder and CEO, Madhumita Agrawal, expressed that the new models will be geared towards facilitating the transition from internal combustion engines (ICE) to electric vehicles comfortably and sustainably.

Currently, Oben Electric sells one e-motorcycle named Rorr, priced at Rs. 1.6 lakh. The upcoming models promise reliability and performance on par with ICE vehicles and boast advanced lithium iron phosphate battery technology for enhanced durability and lifespan. In addition, the company plans to expand its presence across India by opening over 60 new showrooms in more than 12 major cities by the year-end, ensuring extensive after-sales support and service.
