On Friday, Swiggy unveiled its new Incognito Mode, a pioneering feature in the on-demand convenience industry that lets users place orders privately across food and quick commerce.

This mode is tailored for scenarios such as planning surprises, enjoying personal treats, or making discreet purchases, keeping these orders out of the app's history without the need for manual deletion.

Whether for ordering meals or personal wellness products via Swiggy Instamart, Incognito Mode offers enhanced privacy, meeting the users' need to keep certain choices confidential.

"In an increasingly social world, there are still things we prefer to keep private. Incognito Mode is designed to address that need," said Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy's Food Marketplace. He emphasized that the mode provides a seamless experience for users while ensuring their choices remain private. The feature is currently accessible to 10% of Swiggy's users and will be rolled out more broadly in the coming days.

Users can activate the Incognito Mode via a toggle in their cart, receiving a reminder that it is on. Post-delivery, orders remain trackable for three hours before being discreetly hidden from order history, maintaining user privacy.
