Stepping up its AI and cloud initiatives, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani revealed a new offer that grants Jio users up to 100 GB of free cloud storage. This move aims to make digital storage and AI services widely accessible.

Speaking at the 47th AGM of RIL, Ambani announced that the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome offer will launch during Diwali. The package promises affordable cloud data storage and broad AI service access.

'Jio users will get up to 100 GB of free cloud storage to securely store and access their photos, videos, documents, and other digital content,' Ambani said. 'We aim to offer premium AI services that are affordable for everyone.'

Jio advocates for AI's universal accessibility, stating that AI should not be a luxury for the elite. Ambani argued that cloud-based AI services accessible on all devices are necessary to achieve this vision.

'This concept, which we call Connected Intelligence, ensures everyone benefits from AI regardless of socio-economic background. The initial step is providing affordable cloud storage with high privacy and security levels,' Ambani articulated.

Additionally, Jio has enhanced its voice assistant, Hello Jio, to work seamlessly with its new Jio TvOS. Users can now control their Set-Top Box with voice commands.

'Using the latest Generative AI technologies, Hello Jio can now understand natural language better, making it easier to find content,' said Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani.

Akash Ambani also introduced the JioPhonecall AI service, which offers new features like call recording, automatic transcription, and even language translation.
