Apple is set to unveil its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series on September 10, aligning with its annual tradition of September announcements. The release date is expected to be September 20, according to GSM Arena.

The announcement event will be held at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, a venue closely linked to Apple's major product launches. Invitations are anticipated next week, heightening the buzz around the new iPhone lineup.

Reports indicate that production is proceeding smoothly, ensuring all four models will be available on the expected release date. The iPhone 16 series will feature standard and Pro versions, with significant camera upgrades, including improvements in low-light performance and the addition of macro photography on non-Pro models.

Both Pro models are set to receive a 5x telephoto camera, previously exclusive to the larger Pro Max. The main and ultrawide cameras will see notable updates, including a 48 MP sensor enabling 48 MP ProRaw photo capabilities and a new JPEG-XL photo format. Video capabilities also see an upgrade with 3K recording at 120fps and Dolby Vision support.

A new Capture Button, featuring force-sensitive technology, will debut on all models. This capacitive button will allow various actions through a developer API, adding to the flexibility and functionality of the user interface.
