Turkey has blocked access to the popular video game platform Roblox over concerns about content that could lead to child abuse, the country's justice minister announced.

"Our country is obliged to take the necessary measures to ensure the protection of our children," Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc stated on social media platform X. "Using technology in a negative way is never acceptable."

The ban was imposed by a Turkish court investigating complaints from prosecutors in the southern province of Adana, citing potential child abuse risks. Roblox has yet to respond to multiple requests for comment from their representatives in the United States and UK.

This move follows Turkey's recent block on Instagram access due to non-compliance with local laws and public sensitivities, an issue still under negotiation.
