Taylor Swift's three Vienna concerts scheduled for this week have been cancelled following a confirmed terror attack plot, according to the organizer's statement late on Wednesday.

"With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone's safety," stated Barracuda.music on Instagram, adding that all tickets would be automatically refunded. Austrian police detained two individuals linked to the plot, as confirmed by Franz Ruf, Director General for Public Security, during a Wednesday evening press conference.

Ruf revealed that during their investigation, the police identified preparatory actions and noted that the 19-year-old suspect had a specific interest in the Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna. The suspect, an Austrian citizen, had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State. Police also conducted a search at one of the suspect's residences in Ternitz, Lower Austria, and are analyzing seized items.

The cancelled concerts were expected to draw around 65,000 attendees each day from Thursday to Saturday.
