Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has sounded an alarm on the importance of cybersecurity in today's digital age, where wars are increasingly fought in cyberspace. He stressed the necessity for robust cybersecurity measures and firewalls to protect national interests, citizens, and businesses.

Scindia highlighted India's ambitious plans to lead the world in 6G technology, following its success with 4G and 5G. Speaking at the India Mobile Congress 2024 curtain-raiser, he announced a scheme aimed at testing and reimbursing startups and MSMEs in the telecom sector to ease their financial burden.

The minister also detailed an MoU between IIT-Jammu and NTIPRIT for extensive cybersecurity training, emphasizing the need for advanced cyber tools and skilled personnel as the country adopts more e-services.
