Yali Capital has announced the launch of its ₹810 crore venture fund, which includes a ₹310 crore greenshoe option. The fund, co-founded by Ganapathy Subramaniam, former CEO of Cosmic Circuits, and Mathew Cyriac, Executive Chairman of Florintree, aims to support early-stage deep tech startups in India.
Focused on innovative sectors such as chip design, robotics, genomics, smart manufacturing, and aerospace, Yali Capital plans to harness India's 40 years of deep tech experience to foster growth. Ganapathy Subramaniam highlighted the country's inherent strength in these areas.
Industry veterans like Lip-Bu Tan, the former CEO of Cadence, will serve as advisors, bringing extensive global experience in deep tech investments. Yali Capital has already approved investments in four companies and aims to complete these by the third quarter of 2024.
