Electric scooter maker Bounce Infinity on Friday announced a partnership with Zapp Electric Vehicles Group for the contract manufacturing of Zapp's electric vehicles (EVs).

According to a company statement, Bounce Infinity will handle the contract manufacturing services based on Zapp's specifications. The production will take place at Bounce Infinity's Bhiwadi plant, and Bounce will also support Zapp in acquiring the necessary approvals to homologate their products for sale in India.

''By combining our manufacturing strengths with Zapp's innovative product lineup, we aim to make India a two-wheeler manufacturing hub for the entire world,'' said Bounce Infinity CEO and Co-Founder Vivekananda Hallekare.

Zapp EV Founder and CEO Swin Chatsuwan commented on the partnership, stating that Bounce's manufacturing expertise and market presence in India is expected to accelerate Zapp's commercial rollout in key urban areas. The collaboration will enhance the assembly and distribution of Zapp's i300 electric urban motorcycle in India. Both companies are also exploring a distribution partnership to further extend Zapp's reach in the Indian market.

Bounce Infinity currently boasts over 70 dealerships across the country and is rapidly expanding its swap network.
