At the 2024 Google for Games Developer Summit, Google unveiled a suite of new tools and product features for developers and gamers. Here are the key product updates from the summit.

To begin with, Google Play Pass is expanding to include in-game items and discounts on popular games like EA SPORTS FC Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, MONOPOLY GO! and Roblox. The in-game offers will be available in select markets starting today.

Next up, Google is rolling out enhancements to Google Play Store listings to more prominently display exclusive promotions, in-game items and what's new in your downloaded games. Starting today, your store listing page will show the latest YouTube videos of some popular games to keep you engaged with the games you love.

Google AdMob is revamping in-game ads, making them more interactive and integrated with the game world. Instead of pop-ups or video breaks during gameplay, you can choose to engage with integrated ads or simply continue playing.

Furthermore, Google is making it easier for developers to incorporate multiple sign-in options with Play Games Services (PGS), allowing players to use their preferred sign-in method. Additionally, you can jump back into gameplay instantly.

Google Play Games is adding support for native PC games, meaning you'll be able to discover and play a larger selection of games designed specifically for PC directly through Google Play. Popular PC games such as Lineage2M, Odin: Valhalla Rising, Genshin Impact, and Dragonheir: Silent Gods are already available with Solo Leveling: Arise coming soon this year.

"With these updates, developers can take their games to the next level so players like you can experience even more immersive worlds and have new ways to interact with your favorite titles," Google wrote in a blog post on Tuesday.
