Infosys and Walmart Commerce Technologies partner to deliver seamless omni-channel experiences to retailers

Infosys and Walmart Commerce Technologies have teamed up to provide technology solutions that simplify the customer and store employee experience for retailers, the Bengaluru-based IT firm announced on Wednesday.
Specifically, Infosys will be working with retailers to implement and utilize Store Assist, a tool that allows for seamless omnichannel experiences such as pickup, delivery, and shipping from stores.
Over the last 30 years, Infosys has been instrumental in helping numerous retailers, consumer tech, consumer packaged goods, and logistics companies navigate digital and emerging technologies. By leveraging platforms like Infosys Equinox, partner products, and leading digital capabilities, Infosys has assisted over 190 retailers worldwide in transforming themselves into sentient enterprises, by augmenting their core digital capabilities, advancing their operating models, and preparing their talent for the future.
Retailers using the Store Assist app will have access to the same fulfilment technology that Walmart stores use, which means they can benefit from decades of operating expertise from the Fortune 1 company. By utilizing Store Assist, retailers can optimize their in-store fulfilment processes, by improving picking accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
Store associates can be more productive via order queueing, multi-order batch picking, and prioritized pick paths, all of which are available in the Store Assist app. Additionally, the app provides a seamless handoff experience between employees and customers, regardless of whether they're picking up orders in-store or curb-side, having items shipped, or receiving last-mile delivery.
Store Assist can seamlessly integrate into a retailer's existing Commerce or OMS platform.
