Delhi Capitals Crumble Against CSK's Spin Web at Home
Delhi Capitals faltered at home against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, managing only 155 for seven. DC's innings crumbled amidst CSK's formidable spin attack, with key hitters failing to apply themselves. Spinner dominated proceedings and DC's batting woes continued, unable to recover from early blows.
Delhi Capitals struggled disastrously with the bat at home, managing a lackluster 155 for seven against Chennai Super Kings in their latest Indian Premier League match on Tuesday.
Despite the track offering some assistance to spinners, the home side's batters failed to adapt, beginning to falter early with opener Pathum Nissanka falling cheaply. Subsequent wickets, including star batter K L Rahul and captain Axar Patel, further dented their hopes, leaving them scrabbling at a measly 69 for five in just 11 overs.
Efforts from Tristan Stubbs and Sameer Rizvi, who hit a spate of sixes, seemed to revive DC momentarily, but the duo's valiant stand was insufficient to reverse the earlier damage, as CSK restricted them to a below-par total.
