In a dramatic turn of events during an IPL match, Delhi Capitals' Lungi Ngidi suffered an unfortunate injury on the field. Ngidi collided with the ground while attempting a catch, resulting in head and neck pain. He was swiftly taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The South African cricketer, aged 30, was replaced by Vipraj Nigam as a concussion substitute after being stretchered off the field and rushed to Max Hospital. The medical team confirmed that Ngidi was stable and would be discharged shortly.
Witnesses, including players and coaches from both teams, expressed concern as Ngidi showed signs of distress immediately after the incident. The IPL management communicated that Ngidi would soon recover and return to his team.
