The Adani Group is making a significant entry into Indian professional golf with the introduction of the 'Adani Invitational Golf Championship 2025.' Partnering with the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), this initiative aims to make golf more accessible, enhance its popularity as a mainstream sport, and groom the next wave of Indian global champions. As outlined in Adani's press release, the championship will debut from April 1-4, 2025, at Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort, Greater Noida.

This inaugural tournament, offering a substantial prize of Rs1.5 crore, marks PGTI's return to the venue after a decade. Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Limited, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with cricket legend Kapil Dev and PGTI, emphasizing Adani's dedication to nurturing Indian golfing talent and improving access to the sport through world-class training and playing conditions.

Kapil Dev, PGTI President, lauded Adani's support, foreseeing this backing as a catalyst for cultivating Indian golfing champions. Amandeep Johl, PGTI's CEO, considers the tournament a landmark moment for PGTI, expecting intense competition and exceptional golfing at Jaypee Greens. A pre-tournament event on March 29 in Ahmedabad will include a golf clinic for 50 children from The Adani International School and a showcase of Adani and PGTI's joint commitment to boosting Indian golf talent, reflecting their shared vision aligning with India's 2036 Olympic ambitions.
