The curtain fell on the Khelo India Para Games 2025 on Thursday, as celebrations echoed the achievements of nearly 1300 athletes who competed in six para-disciplines across three venues in Delhi. Haryana emerged victorious in the team championship, outshining Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, presided as the chief guest at the event's closing ceremony held at the IG Stadium. In her address, Khadse reaffirmed the Indian government's unwavering dedication to fostering paralympic sports through strategic initiatives, pledging comprehensive support under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

Khadse lauded the exceptional performance of para-athletes, particularly commending the 400-plus women competitors who broke 12 of the 18 national records set during the Games. As the event coincided with World Accessibility Day, Khadse unveiled a 'Handbook on Accessibility of Sports Facilities' alongside notable figures like former cricketer Syed Saba Karim and Svayam's Sminu Jindal, spotlighting the inclusive spirit of the Games.
