In the 2024-25 season of the Indian Super League (ISL), FC Goa's standout performances have been epitomized by one player: Brison Fernandes. As the Gaurs prepare for the semi-finals on April 2, the spotlight is firmly on the 23-year-old midfielder, who has been making waves with his attacking prowess, as reported by the ISL's official site.

Fernandes has achieved a remarkable seven goals and two assists, marking the highest goal contributions by an Indian player for FC Goa in a single ISL season. His impressive performance also earned him a national team debut in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifier against Bangladesh. Currently, he stands as the second-highest Indian goal scorer, following closely behind Sunil Chhetri with 12 goals.

Head coach Manolo Marquez has praised Fernandes's rise, attributing it to his technical ability, football intelligence, and fearless approach to the game. "Brison epitomizes the Goan style of play. He's overcome last season's uncertainties to truly enjoy the game," Marquez stated, highlighting the player's hard work and strong mindset.
