In a riveting showdown at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Moeen Ali showered compliments on Quinton de Kock for his remarkable unbeaten 97, which powered Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to a decisive win over Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing Indian Premier League.

KKR comfortably chased down the Royals' 151-run target, securing an eight-wicket victory with 15 balls to spare. Moeen Ali, making his KKR debut, hailed the win as a testament to the team's unity and drive.

Ali played a vital role, taking two wickets with precise bowling. "My role was to maintain as tight a line as possible," he stated after the match. He also lauded teammate Varun Chakaravarthy for his abilities. Ali expressed particular admiration for de Kock, highlighting his effortless strokeplay and ability to handle Rajasthan's bowlers with ease, describing the innings as 'amazing.'

The victory was a confidence booster following KKR's previous defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Moeen relished their win, saying, "It's uplifting to score a victory early on, preventing over-analysis." He described the pitch as offering a balanced challenge, contributing to their win.

Reflecting on his integration into a championship team, Ali noted, "Winning teams like KKR have mastered the formula, evident in their three title wins. Everything seems serene." With this win, Ali and de Kock demonstrated their alignment with KKR's winning ethos. The team is set to play Mumbai Indians next in IPL 2025.
