In the 60kg category, Sumit kickstarted his campaign with a resounding 9-0 victory against South Korea's Minwoo Kim, only to experience a quarterfinal exit after a 2-6 loss to Iran's Pouya Mohammad Naserpour.
Neeraj displayed sheer dominance in his 67kg quarterfinals against Kyrgyzstan's Razzak Beishekeev, advancing to face Japan's Katsuaki Endo for bronze. Meanwhile, Nitesh impressed in the 97kg but was halted in semifinals by Iran's Mohammadhadi Abdollah Saravi. Sunil Kumar had earlier secured a bronze for India in the 87kg category.
