Pooja Rani and Sonia Lather Punch Their Way to National Championship Finals
Veteran athletes Pooja Rani and Sonia Lather have reached the finals of the Women's National Boxing Championship with impressive performances. Pooja, a two-time Asian Champion, overcame Anupama in a tough semifinal, while Sonia defeated Poonam Kaithwas. Also advancing were defending champions Jaismine, Minakshi, and Anamika Hooda.

Seasoned boxers Pooja Rani and Sonia Lather have advanced to the finals of the Women's National Boxing Championship following a day of intense competition.
Representing Haryana, Pooja Rani, a two-time Asian Champion, secured her place in the final with a hard-fought 4-2 split decision victory over Anupama from Railways in the 80kg category. The 34-year-old relied on her wealth of experience, strategically unleashing a barrage of hooks and jabs in the decisive third round.
Meanwhile, silver medallist Sonia Lather maintained her title aspirations by defeating Maharashtra's Poonam Kaithwas with a unanimous decision. The defending champions, Jaismine, Minakshi, and Anamika Hooda, also advanced to their respective finals, demonstrating dominance in their matches. Jaismine reportedly overpowered Punjab's Vishaka Vartiya, while Minakshi and Anamika won with precision and resilience.
