The powerlifting events at the Khelo India Para Games 2025 concluded with a series of remarkable performances, as former medallists made their mark. Over three days, the competition witnessed four national records set by athletes Jaspreet Kaur, Manish Kumar, Seema Rani, and Jhandu Kumar, according to a KIPG press release.

On Day 7 of the Games, Haryana emerged as the leader with 31 gold medals, followed by Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh, securing 26 and 22, respectively. Haryana's Pardeep Joon, previously a gold medallist in the inaugural edition, lifted 194 kg in the 107+ kg category, earning his second gold medal of the event.

Pardeep's journey from injury and depression to sports success resonated with many, thanks to the support of his family and friend Jaideep. Meanwhile, Delhi's Sahista, having overcome childhood adversity, transformed her previous silver into gold in the 79 kg category by lifting 81 kg. As the competition wrapped up, other athletes like Maharashtra's Dinesh Bagade and Tamil Nadu's Arunmoli Arunagiri also celebrated their victories, underscoring the spirit of resilience and excellence at the Khelo India Para Games.
