Indian paralympian Bhagyashree Jadhav, a seasoned shot-putter and javelin thrower, has fixed her eyes on the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympics as her next big target after participating in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.
The 37-year-old showcased top form at the Khelo India Para Games 2025 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, clinching two gold medals in shot-put and javelin. Competing in the F 33-34 category, Bhagyashree's recent performances reflect her growing prowess in para athletics.
Originating from Maharashtra's Honvadaj village, Bhagyashree's path to athletics began after a tragic accident in 2006. Backed by a supportive family and inspired by her brother, she ventured into para sports in 2017 and has since achieved international honors, most notably a silver at the 2022 Asian Para Games.
