Rangers Penalized by UEFA for Discriminatory Fan Behavior
UEFA has fined Rangers and issued a suspended stand closure after fans displayed a discriminatory banner against Fenerbahce. Additional fines were imposed for improper conduct, throwing objects, and blocking passageways. Rangers plans lifetime bans for responsible fans as a deterrent to such actions.

UEFA has slapped a 30,000 euro fine on Rangers and issued a suspended stand closure after some fans unveiled a banner deemed 'racist and/or discriminatory' during a Europa League match against Fenerbahce.
The Scottish club also faced additional fines for various breaches: 8,000 euros for improper team conduct, 4,500 euros for fans throwing objects, and 6,000 euros for blocked passageways. Consequences linger with the threat of a stand closure at future UEFA matches.
Rangers are in the process of enforcing lifetime bans on those accountable for the offensive banner, a move meant to discourage future violations. The club emphasized this punishment as a serious reminder to avoid bringing disrepute to its name ahead of their match against Athletic Bilbao.
